The Blendpolis Movie Project is a community project with the ambition to produce an open movie. We, the members, share the passion of creating 3D art in Blender. In this movie project we want to extend our knowledge, but we also want to promote the publicity of the open 3D software Blender in the German-speaking countries.

The main idea was formed at 07/12/2007 on blendpolis.de. At that time a photo was suggested. Owing to the many positive responses, we however noticed quickly that we could and also wanted to make more out of it. The movie idea was born.

Most of us have never realized nor taken part in such a great project. At present, there are about 100 members, with an increasing trend. This fact not only pleases us a lot, but it also shows that the idea has a great appeal.
